Save Energy. Save Costs. Improve Your Livability.

With BC Government Incentive Programs

Thinking about making some energy-wise retrofit repairs in your home?

There’s no time like the present to address your home’s protective or mechanical systems. Perhaps it’s an insulation upgrade, a furnace or hot water tank replacement or the installation of double-pane windows.

Improving the heating, cooling and ventilation systems in your home will not only improve energy-efficiency and reduce operating costs but will boost its potential value

LiveSmart BC Efficiency Incentive Program

While making those retrofit repairs, why not take advantage of the LiveSmart BC Efficiency Incentive Program?

The LiveSmart BC line of rebate programs have been around for a few years now and tens of thousands of British Columbians have taken advantage of various funding opportunities during this time, saving thousands of dollars on energy saving improvements and equipment.

And here’s the good news: The LiveSmart BC Efficiency Incentive program will remain open to new participants until March 31, 2013.

Where do I start?

The first step to access LiveSmart BC incentives is to book a home energy efficiency evaluation by a certified energy advisor. No federal registration number is required to book an energy efficiency evaluation for home owners who are only accessing the LiveSmart BC incentives.

Here are some common areas to look at when considering how to maximize energy efficiency:

·         Air sealing and mechanical ventilation
·         Attic insulation
·         Exterior wall insulation
·         Basement and other insulation
·         Windows, doors and skylights
·         Primary space heating
·         Other space heating
·         Water heating
·         Distributed power generation

Remember that deadlines are applicable to get on board. LiveSmart BC program participants must have their follow-up assessment within 18 months of their pre-retrofit assessment or before March 31, 2013, whichever comes first.  Program participants can only have one follow-up evaluation.
